Barney Point Coal Laboratory
BMA's Gladstone Operations are a key link between BMA's southern Bowen Basin mines and our worldwide coal customers. The group manages BMA's shipping from the Port of Gladstone and the analytical services provided by the Barney Point Coal Laboratory (pictured right).
Recognised as one of Australia's leading testing facilities, Barney Point was the first coal laboratory to gain accreditation under the new assessment requirements specified by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA).
The laboratory services provided to BMA's technical and marketing personnel range from testing and evaluating properties for coal samples, to coordinating washplant efficiency audits and providing quality forecasting for different coal types.
